Executive Director, Small Scale Livestock and Livelihoods Programme, Malawi
Kalimalwayo Sunday Mwakasungula is a passionate advocate for sustainable rural development and a dedicated member of the Small Scale Livestock and Livelihoods Program (SSLLP) in Malawi.
Kalimalwayo joined SSLLP in 2010 and he has worked on various roles throughout the organization becoming its Executive Director in 2020. Kalimalwayo is committed to supporting the organization’s mission to empower impoverished families in Malawi. The SSLLP, a local non-governmental organization, focuses on combatting poverty in a sustainable and long-term manner by providing families with various types of livestock and essential infrastructure. Kalimalwayo has studied Agriculture Extension, Rural Development and Economics and has significant experiences working with rural smallholder farmers in the dairy and beef sectors in Malawi.
Kalimalwayo Sunday Mwakasungula is excited to contribute to the SSLLP’s vital mission and is dedicated to furthering their goals of poverty alleviation and sustainable development as well as the GFP’s drive towards sustainable ruminant production.
