Assistant Professor and BCRC – Hays Chair in Beef Production Systems
Dr. Gleise M. Silva joined the Department of Agricultural, Food & Nutritional Science at the University of Alberta in August 2021 as an Assistant Professor and the Beef Cattle Research Council (BCRC) Hays Chair in Beef Production Systems. She obtained her MSc. (2017) and Ph.D. (2021) in animal sciences from the University of Florida, with emphasis in beef cattle nutrition and management. Dr. Silva’s research program is dedicated to identifying management strategies to enhance cattle productivity and sustainability.
